I also am a writer of short stories and poems. I’ve gotten published (once) with an op-ed in my college’s news rag. Yeah, I should probably get published more. Meh.
My focus in my writing and in my life is on the unattainable idea of a sociological/psychological unified field theory of humanity – I want to understand not just what makes a person tick, nor what makes a society behave as it does as a whole, but how the individual and the society interact and predetermine each other’s actions, and how those chaotic events could (theoretically speaking) lead to the betterment of humanity through simple actions of individuals daily.
